We met her outside of the library and talked for a while. She was obsessed with philosophy and had her own peculiar vision of the world. She saw lack of desire to give pleasure as a root of all evil in this world. She also saw herself as a kind of missionary who was sent to bestow as much pleasure and happiness as she humanly could. I suggested humorously that she could start with us. She said, why not, I just have to finish reading this book. My friend and I looked and each other: we both knew we hit a jackpot.
